Why I Sit on the Book You’re Reading

Why I Sit on the Book You’re Reading (Literary Criticism) πŸ“šπŸΎ
by Gryzka, Chair of Feline Letters & Warm Paper Studies

Hello.
I see you’re reading.

This is unfortunate—for the book.

1. The Book Is Clearly in the Wrong Place ❌πŸ“–

If a book is open, it is asking to be sat on.

Closed book? Acceptable.
Open book? Draft. Insecure. Vulnerable.

I am merely offering structural support.

2. I Am Improving the Plot 🧠✨

Before I arrive, the book has:

  • Too many characters

  • Too much hope

  • Not enough fur

After I sit down:

  • The pacing slows

  • The tension increases

  • The protagonist suffers

This is called depth.

You’re welcome.

3. Warm Paper Is a Finite Resource πŸ”₯πŸ“„

Books hold heat.
I hold importance.

Science has spoken.

If you wanted to keep the book warm, you should have been a cat.

4. I Am Protecting You from Bad Literature 🚨🐱

If I sit on a book, it means:

  • The ending is disappointing

  • Someone dies unnecessarily

  • There is romance without naps

If it were truly good, I would knock it off the table instead.

This is nuanced criticism.

5. Eye Contact Is Part of the Review πŸ‘️😼

I sit.
I stare at you.
I blink slowly.

This means:
“You could be reading me.”

And I am clearly more interesting.

6. My Sisters Contribute Peer Reviews 🐈‍⬛🐾🐈

Spurka passes by and sniffs the spine. If she disapproves, she leaves silently, which is devastating.

Kitka circles once, twice, then sits on the author’s name. Personal, but fair.

Lenka tries to chew the corner. Experimental criticism. Bold.

7. This Is a Power Move πŸ“–πŸ‘‘

Books demand attention.
I demand allegiance.

There can only be one.

Final Verdict ✍️🐾

I do not hate your book.
I am testing its resilience.

If it survives beneath me, it deserves to be finished.

If not—
well.

There are better stories to tell.

Breaking Mews: My E-book Has Landed!

Dear devoted readers, snack-bringers, and humans who still think they’re in charge, I interrupt your regularly scheduled scrolling to announce a life-changing, world-shifting, fur-tastic piece of news:

MY E-BOOK IS LIVE ON AMAZON.

Yes, you heard that right. Gryzka: the Cat has officially entered the literary world — without lifting a single claw to type, thank you very much. I dictated it through a carefully choreographed series of stares, tail flicks, and walking across the keyboard during emotionally critical human emails. My ghostwriter (aka “Mom”) merely interpreted my genius.

πŸ“˜ The title?
Paws, Pause, and Purr: Summer Wisdom from Gryzka

                                                                https://a.co/d/4VJjvLc

A stunning collection of my finest seasonal thoughts, philosophical purrs, dramatic observations, and sun-drenched judgment.

✨ What’s inside?
Oh, just five glorious chapters (plus a bonus!) of paw-picked quotes like:

  • “Lie where the sun hits best. Even if it’s your human’s clean laundry.”
  • “Cuddle when it’s inconvenient for them. It’s more meaningful that way.”
  • “Do not end the day with regrets. End it on your favorite pillow.”
  • “Hydration is important. Preferably from the forbidden glass.”
  • “You are not a cat. You are the cat.”

🌞 Topics include:

  • The Art of Summering
  • The Philosopher’s Shade
  • Summer Relationships (Mostly with Humans)
  • Evening Wisdoms
  • Summer Meditations
  • And the legendary Golden Summer Rules, which should be read while reclining luxuriously on something you’re not supposed to sit on.

😹 Why should you read it?
Because frankly, your soul needs more fluff. Your daily routine needs more tail flicks of enlightenment. And your bookshelf needs a book that meows spiritually at it. Also, let’s be honest — you’ve been spending too much time listening to self-help podcasts by people who don’t even lick their own knees.

Where can you get it?
On Amazon, of course. Because that’s where all great thinkers go eventually.
Just search “Gryzka” and prepare your heart. Or let your human assistant do it — those thumbs are useful sometimes.

🎁 Bonus Perks:
Reading this e-book may lead to:

  • Uncontrollable purring
  • Deep napping
  • Improved judgment of neighbors
  • Advanced sunbeam acquisition skills
  • A strange but pleasant desire to knock pens off desks

If you want to spend your summer wiser, sassier, and more spiritually stretched out across the kitchen table, this e-book is for you. It’s funny. It’s fluffy. It’s a revolution in 100+ purrfectly crafted meow-thoughts.

Go. Read. Absorb my brilliance. Then leave a review. Five stars only, obviously. Anything less and I will knock your phone off the windowsill at 3 AM.

With love, power, and a full bowl,
 Gryzka😼
