How Many Times Should a Cat Change Sleeping Locations in One Hot Afternoon?

Let’s address a serious scientific question that humans consistently fail to ask:

How many times should a cat change sleeping locations during a single hot afternoon?

The correct answer is not a number.

 It is a lifestyle.

πŸ›‹️ 13:00 — Phase 1: The Optimistic Start

At the beginning of the afternoon, I choose a bed.

This is a mistake.

The bed is warm.

Too warm.

Humans call this “comfort.”

Cats call this unacceptable conditions for advanced napping.

So I relocate.

πŸͺŸ 13:20 — Phase 2: The Window Attempt

Perhaps the window sill will help.

There is light.

There is air.

There is also judgment from a passing pigeon.

I lie down anyway.

It lasts 7 minutes.

Then I realize the sun has betrayed me by moving.

I leave immediately.

🧊 13:45 — Phase 3: The Cold Floor Discovery

Ah.

Tiles.

The ancient cooling surface of wisdom.

I press my entire body against it.

I become one with the floor.

I achieve emotional stability.

This is the most successful phase so far.

Naturally, I abandon it out of suspicion that it is too perfect.

πŸͺ‘ 14:10 — Phase 4: The Chair of Unclear Intentions

I jump onto a chair I have never respected before.

I sit.

I reconsider my life choices.

The chair does not improve my mood.

I leave without explanation.

πŸ›️ 14:40 — Phase 5: Return to Bed (Mistake #2)

I return to the bed.

Humans interpret this as “cat loves routine.”

Incorrect.

This is research.

I confirm the bed is still too warm.

I leave again, offended.

🧺 15:00 — Phase 6: The Laundry Basket Enlightenment

Soft.

Dark.

Slightly chaotic.

Perfect.

I sleep for 11 minutes before realizing I am trapped in a textile cave of destiny.

I exit dramatically.

πŸ› 15:30 — Phase 7: The Bathroom Floor Truth

Cooler than the floor.

More mysterious.

I lie down and contemplate existence.

A human opens the door and screams:

“Gryzka!!”

I take this as proof of success and move on.

πŸŒͺ️ 16:00 — Final Phase: The Great Rotation Continues

At this point, I have:

  • Moved 11 times
  • Slept 6 times
  • Judged humans 4 times
  • Discovered 3 new cold surfaces
  • Lost interest in all of them

And the answer becomes clear.

A cat should change sleeping locations in one hot afternoon:

As many times as necessary to ensure maximum comfort, minimal effort, and dramatic inconvenience to humans. 😌

There is no fixed number.

But in professional practice, it is usually:

“Until the sunbeam becomes tolerable again or the floor reveals a new secret.”

🐾 Gryzka’s Official Recommendation

If you are a cat:

✔ Never commit to one sleeping spot
✔ Always suspect warmth
✔ Rotate locations like a sophisticated emotional compass
✔ And above all—act like every new place was your idea first

Because it was.

Probably.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I must relocate again.

The air just shifted 0.3 degrees. ☀️😼

The Summer Dress Code According to Cats

As summer arrives, humans once again begin their annual ritual of standing in front of closets and asking impossible questions.

 "Is this too warm?" πŸ€”

"Does this match?" πŸ€”

"Can I wear this to the beach?" πŸ€”

Cats, meanwhile, have already selected the perfect summer outfit.

The same one we wear every day.

Fur.

And if possible...

More fur.

Maybe even extra fur. 😌✨

After years of studying fashion trends from my favorite observation post (the windowsill), I am ready to reveal the official Summer Dress Code According to Cats.

Rule #1: Never Follow Human Fashion πŸ§₯πŸ™„

Humans spend money on summer clothes.

Shorts.

Sandals.

Sun hats.

Light jackets for cool evenings.

Cats spend exactly zero money.

We wake up fabulous.

Our entire wardrobe is permanently attached.

Efficiency is elegance. 😎

Rule #2: Fur Is Suitable for Every Occasion 🐱

Going to the balcony?

Fur.

Taking a nap?

Fur.

Watching birds?

Fur.

Running through the apartment at 3:17 a.m. because a dust particle moved suspiciously?

Also fur.

Some humans claim that wearing fur in summer sounds uncomfortable.

These are the same humans who drink hot coffee during heat waves.

I rest my case. ☕😹

Rule #3: Shedding Is Not a Problem. It Is Interior Decoration ✨

Humans often complain:

"Gryzka, your fur is everywhere!"

Exactly.

The sofa deserves decoration.

The armchair deserves decoration.

The black trousers deserve decoration.

The freshly cleaned floor deserves decoration.

I am simply improving the appearance of the home. 🏑

You're welcome.

Rule #4: Accessories Must Be Functional πŸŽ€

Humans wear watches.

Bracelets.

Necklaces.

Fancy sunglasses.

Cats wear:

  • Whiskers πŸ‘‘
  • Ears πŸ‘‘
  • A magnificent tail πŸ‘‘

Nature already gave us premium accessories.

No batteries required.

Rule #5: Confidence Is the Most Important Outfit 😌✨

You can have the fluffiest fur in the world.

The most elegant whiskers.

The finest tail.

But none of it matters if you don't walk into a room as though you own the building.

And the neighboring building.

And possibly the entire street.

This is a lesson humans still need to learn.

A Fashion Debate: Gryzka vs. Kitka vs. Spurka 😼

Kitka believes true elegance means sitting gracefully and pretending not to care about attention.

Spurka believes fashion is staring at a wall until everyone becomes uncomfortable.

I believe true style means rolling onto your back in a sunbeam and displaying your fluffy belly like royalty. ☀️πŸ‘‘

History will decide who is correct.

Though history has generally been very supportive of me.

Final Summer Recommendation ☀️

This summer, do not worry about trends.

Do not worry about colors.

Do not worry about matching accessories.

Simply wear:

✔ Fur.

✔ More fur.

✔ Maybe even extra fur.

Then find the warmest patch of sunshine available and spend the afternoon looking magnificent.

That is what we professionals do. 😸✨🐾

Until next time,

My Summer Body Is Just More Cat

Every year, around June, humans start saying strange things.

“Summer is coming.”
“I need to get in shape.”
“Beach body season!”

Meanwhile I am lying on the floor shaped like a warm croissant with fur, wondering why humans keep inventing new ways to suffer.

Personally, my summer body strategy is simple:

become slightly fluffier.

Humans Have Very Strange Priorities

Suddenly everybody is:

  • drinking green liquids,
  • jogging voluntarily,
  • and discussing carbohydrates like they committed crimes.

I watched my human eat salad while looking emotionally devastated.

Couldn’t be me.

If I eat grass, it’s because I made a bad decision, not because of “wellness.”

I Already Have the Perfect Summer Body

Step 1:
Have body.

Step 2:
Exist during summer.

Congratulations.

Summer body achieved.

Honestly, cats solved this problem centuries ago.

You never see cats:

  • counting calories,
  • doing crunches,
  • or crying over swimsuits.

We simply arrive already magnificent.

Yes, I Am Slightly Round. Thank You for Noticing.

Humans keep using words like:
“chonky,”
“fluffy,”
and my least favorite:
“little meatball.”

Excuse me.

This is not fat.

This is:

  • stored wisdom,
  • emergency snack capacity,
  • and advanced cuddle technology.

Do you know how comforting it is to hug a slightly squishy cat?

Exactly.

I provide a public service.

Summer Heat Changes a Cat

In winter I become:
tiny furry loaf.

In summer I transform into:
melted carpet with opinions.

You will find me:

  • stretched dramatically across tiles,
  • hanging halfway off furniture,
  • or lying belly-up like I’ve fainted from Victorian exhaustion.

This is not laziness.

This is temperature management.

The Audacity of the Vet

Recently the vet said I should:
“watch my weight.”

Interesting.

Meanwhile nobody tells pigeons to exercise and some of them look like rotisserie chickens with wings.

Selective criticism.

Kitka Is Naturally Elegant and It’s Annoying

Kitka walks like an ancient queen in a historical drama.

Every movement graceful.
Every pose majestic.

Meanwhile I once fell off a chair because I sneezed too aggressively.

Still iconic though.

Spurka claims he “doesn’t care about appearances,” yet spends three hours a day grooming himself like a tiny black panther preparing for a magazine shoot.

Hypocrisy everywhere.

Exercise Is Important, Unfortunately

Do I exercise?

Of course.

Every evening at exactly the wrong hour, I perform:
✨ The Zoomies ✨

This includes:

  • sprinting into walls,
  • parkour off furniture,
  • and terrifying the household with unexplained speed.

For seven minutes I become pure athletic power.

Then I collapse breathing heavily beside the food bowl.

Balance.

Bikini Season? I Have Fur Season.

Humans spend summer trying to reveal more skin.

I spend summer shedding enough fur to build a second cat.

Nature heals differently for everyone.

My human says:
“Gryzka, your hair is everywhere.”

Good.

This apartment should remember me even after I leave the room.

Confidence Is the Most Attractive Thing Anyway

You know what truly makes someone beautiful?

The confidence to:

  • nap openly,
  • ask for snacks without shame,
  • and take up space unapologetically.

I walk into every room like a celebrity arriving late to her own award ceremony.

That energy matters.

Final Thoughts From a Slightly Toasted Cat

So no, I will not be “getting beach ready.”

I am already:

  • soft,
  • glorious,
  • emotionally expressive,
  • and aerodynamic enough for moderate hallway sprinting.

My summer body is simply… more cat.

More fluff.
More naps.
More attitude.
More dramatic collapsing onto cool floors.

And honestly?

I highly recommend it.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to lie in front of the fan like a windswept movie star and think about tuna.

Why Humans Wear Sunscreen but Cats Simply Become Glorious

As June arrives and sunshine begins spilling onto balconies, windowsills, and other important cat facilities, I have noticed something very strange about humans.

Every year they suddenly start buying bottles of mysterious white goo. 🧴

They spread it on their noses. πŸ‘ƒ

They spread it on their arms. πŸ’ͺ

Sometimes they even ask another human to spread it on their back. πŸ™„

Then they stand in front of mirrors asking:

"Did I miss a spot?"

Meanwhile, I simply walk into a sunbeam and become magnificent. ✨🐱

This raises an important scientific question:

Why do humans wear sunscreen while cats merely become glorious?

After years of research (mostly conducted while sleeping), I have reached several conclusions.

Observation #1: Humans Fear the Sun ☀️😱

Humans spend all winter complaining that it is cold.

Then summer arrives.

Suddenly they complain that it is hot.

They run around carrying hats, sunglasses, bottles of water, and enough sunscreen to waterproof a small boat. 🚀

Cats, on the other paw, see a patch of sunshine and think:

"Excellent. My office is open." 😌

Observation #2: Sunshine Improves Cat Beauty by 347% ✨

Scientists have not confirmed this number.

The scientist in question is me.

When sunlight hits my fur, several remarkable events occur:

  • My whiskers become more elegant. ✨
  • My eyes become more mysterious. πŸ‘€
  • My tail becomes approximately 12% fluffier. 🐾
  • My overall level of fabulousness reaches critical mass. πŸ’…

Humans call this "a cat sleeping."

They fail to understand the complexity of the process.

Observation #3: Humans Cannot Properly Use Sunbeams 🌞

A cat sees a sunbeam and immediately understands its purpose:

✅ Lie down.

✅ Stretch dramatically.

✅ Roll over.

✅ Fall asleep.

Humans use sunbeams incorrectly.

They mow lawns. 🌱

They wash cars. πŸš—

They exercise. πŸƒ

This seems like a terrible waste of perfectly good sunshine.

Observation #4: Kitka and Spurka Disagree With My Research 😼

Kitka claims that true glory comes from wisdom and experience.

Spurka claims that true glory comes from staring silently at walls for unknown reasons. πŸ‘️

I maintain that true glory comes from occupying the warmest spot in the apartment before anyone else finds it.

Science supports my position.

Mostly because I wrote the science. πŸ“šπŸ˜Ή

Humans wear sunscreen because they wish to survive the summer.

Cats simply absorb sunshine and transform it into beauty, confidence, and naps. ☀️➡️😸➡️πŸ’€

Therefore, if you ever see me stretched across a patch of sunlight with one paw dangling dramatically over the edge of the sofa, please understand:

I am not sleeping.

I am conducting important scientific research.

For science. πŸ”¬πŸΎ

And also because the sunbeam is warm.

Life Is Better With Fur on Everything: A June Manifesto

Humans complain a lot in June.

“It’s too hot.”
“There are mosquitoes everywhere.”
“Why is there fur in my coffee?”

 And to that I say:

you’re welcome.

Because summer is not truly summer until every surface in the apartment carries at least one tiny reminder of me.

This is Gryzka Season.

Fur Is Not a Problem. Fur Is Interior Design.

Humans spend money decorating homes with:

  • blankets,
  • cushions,
  • and little aesthetic candles that smell like “Mediterranean Linen Sunset.”

Meanwhile I generously provide:
✨ texture ✨

Black shirt?
Now artistic.

Freshly cleaned sofa?
Now emotionally warmer.

Morning coffee?
Now seasoned with love.

Honestly, I improve the atmosphere of every room I enter.

Sometimes against everyone’s will.

June Is the Month of Shedding With Purpose

Every year my body decides:
“You know what we don’t need? MOST OF THIS FUR.”

Then chaos begins.

I leave little fluffy memories everywhere:

  • on chairs,
  • in shoes,
  • floating dramatically through sunbeams like tiny haunted tumbleweeds.

My human brushes me and says:
“How are you still not bald?”

Excellent question.

Science fears me.

The Black Clothes Incident

Humans continue buying black clothes despite living with cats.

That feels irresponsible.

Then they stand in front of mirrors going:
“Oh no, look at all this fur!”

Yes.

You dressed like a lint roller’s greatest enemy.
That sounds like a YOU problem.

Personally, I think every outfit looks better accessorized with one tiny Gryzka hair attached directly to the nose area.

Adds personality.

Fur Means Love

Think about it.

When humans leave home and discover cat fur on their clothes, they immediately remember us.

A little piece of Gryzka travels with them into the world like emotional glitter.

Beautiful.

Slightly unhygienic maybe.

But beautiful.

The Endless Battle Against the Brush

My human approaches holding the brush with optimism.

Foolish.

At first I enjoy it.
“Oh yes. Wonderful. Continue.”

Then suddenly, without warning, I remember I am a creature of chaos and begin fighting invisible enemies.

Now we are both emotionally exhausted.

Yet somehow:
the brush becomes full,
the floor becomes furry,
and I still resemble a walking pillow.

Impossible.

Kitka Sheds Gracefully. I Shed Aggressively.

Kitka loses fur delicately, like a noble woodland spirit drifting through poetry.

I, however, shed like an exploding sofa.

One dramatic flop onto the carpet and suddenly it looks like a smaller version of me escaped my body overnight.

Spurka once sneezed and created what appeared to be an entirely new animal.

Disturbing scenes.

Fur Improves Relationships

People think love is shown through words.

No.

Love is:

  • allowing a cat onto clean laundry,
  • accepting fur-covered furniture,
  • and pretending not to notice when a floating hair enters your mouth mid-sentence.

That is commitment.

My Human Keeps Cleaning. I Keep Replenishing.

This is our dance.

She vacuums.

I walk by once.

The apartment immediately looks haunted again.

Nature is healing.

June Philosophy From a Very Fluffy Cat

Humans spend too much time trying to make life spotless.

But real life is messy.

It leaves traces:

  • footprints,
  • memories,
  • laughter,
  • and yes… fur on absolutely everything you own.

Honestly, if your clothes are completely free of cat hair, are you even loved properly?

Think about it.

Final Declaration of the Summer Floof Council

This June, I encourage all cats to:

  • shed proudly,
  • nap dramatically,
  • and leave tiny fluffy signatures across the homes of the people they love.

Because one day, humans may look at a forgotten little cat hair on a sweater and smile.

Or complain loudly while reaching for the lint roller.

Either way, we remain unforgettable.

Too Purr-fect to Behave: Gryzka’s May Manifesto

May has arrived.

The birds are screaming.
The flowers are blooming.
The humans are opening windows like they suddenly own nature.

And I, Gryzka, have awakened from my Winter Depression Era™ to announce that this month will be dedicated to beauty, chaos, and mild property damage.

This is my official manifesto.

Please read carefully. There will be no questions at the end because I do not respect authority.

Rule #1: If the Sunbeam Exists, It Belongs to Me

I do not care if:

  • you were sitting there first,
  • you are “working,”
  • or your laptop costs more than my yearly tuna budget.

The sunbeam has chosen me.

Move accordingly.

May is a sacred season of floor naps, dramatic stretching, and lying directly in doorways like a furry traffic cone. Humans should consider it an honor to step over me seventeen times a day.

Rule #2: Balcony Time Is Extremely Important Business

Every May, I begin my annual Neighborhood Surveillance Program.

From the balcony I must monitor:

  • pigeons,
  • suspicious leaves,
  • clouds that seem arrogant,
  • and one specific crow I personally distrust.

Do I know what the crow did?

No.

But he knows.

Rule #3: Plants Are Decorative Until I Eat Them

Humans every single year:
“Gryzka, don’t chew the flowers.”

Then WHY are they crunchy-shaped?

Honestly, humans buy plants and act shocked when cats interact with them. That’s like putting cheesecake in front of a raccoon and expecting professionalism.

I will nibble:

  • flowers,
  • grass,
  • herbs,
  • and occasionally plastic for spiritual reasons.

Rule #4: Spring Energy Must Be Released Immediately

At least once a day, I will sprint through the apartment at the speed of light while making eye contact with nobody.

This is called:
✨ The May Zoomies ✨

Symptoms include:

  • jumping off invisible walls,
  • terrifying Spurka,
  • sliding dramatically across the floor,
  • and accidentally entering another dimension behind the sofa.

Do not interfere.

Scientists still cannot explain where the energy comes from.

Personally, I believe I absorb power directly from dandelions.

Rule #5: I Refuse to Behave Normally

Humans love saying things like:
“Why are you like this?”

An excellent question.

Why do I scream before eating and then stare at the food like it personally offended me?
Why do I demand the door open and then refuse to cross the threshold?
Why do I sleep all day and become a haunted Victorian child at 3 AM?

Because I contain multitudes.

Also because chaos builds character.

Rule #6: Kitka Is Not Allowed to Win

This is not hatred.

This is competition.

If Kitka sits in a box, suddenly I need that box more than oxygen itself. If she receives attention, I immediately collapse nearby as if abandoned by society.

Spurka pretends to stay neutral, but honestly? Weak leadership.

Rule #7: Every Blanket Is My Blanket

This applies especially to:

  • freshly folded laundry,
  • black clothing,
  • important papers,
  • and anything you needed five seconds ago.

Humans say I shed too much.

Incorrect.

I decorate.

Rule #8: I Am Tiny Baby and Powerful Queen Simultaneously

These identities do not conflict.

One moment I am:
a fierce jungle predator stalking a sock.

The next:
crying because the food bowl reflects light in a suspicious way.

Complexity is part of my charm.

Final Declaration

This May, I encourage all cats to:

  • knock something small off a shelf,
  • demand second breakfast,
  • scream at dawn for no reason,
  • and believe in themselves the way cats believe every closed door is a personal attack.

Remember:
Life is short.
Nap often.
Cause confusion.
Leave fur everywhere like a signature.

And above all—

be too purr-fect to behave.

Friday, May 22, 2026

Five Reasons I Deserve Second Breakfast

Humans keep saying strange things like:
“But Gryzka, you already ate.”

 Excuse me?
Yes, technically I consumed food at 5:43 AM after screaming into the void beside your bed like a tiny furry opera singer. But that was first breakfast. We are now living in completely different times. Civilization has evolved. The sun moved at least three centimeters across the sky. I have suffered greatly since then.

Therefore, today I will calmly and scientifically explain why I deserve second breakfast.

1. Emotional Support Is Hard Work

Do humans think I simply sit around all day looking beautiful?

Incorrect.

Every morning I must:

  • supervise coffee preparation,
  • stare at the wall mysteriously,
  • sprint through the apartment for no reason,
  • and protect the household from dangerous enemies like moths and suspicious plastic bags.

That level of emotional labor burns calories.

Especially the part where I knock objects off shelves while maintaining eye contact.

2. The Bowl Looked Empty From My Angle

Humans are obsessed with “facts.”

“The bowl is still half full.”
“There is food right there.”
“You literally just walked away from it.”

Listen carefully.

If I can see the bottom of the bowl in even ONE corner, that means starvation is approaching. I refuse to live under such dangerous conditions.

Would you drink coffee from a cup that was only half full?
Actually, don’t answer that. Humans clearly have low standards.

3. Spurka Might Eat It

This is very serious.

Maybe Spurka isn’t even in the kitchen right now. Maybe Spurka is asleep. Maybe Spurka has absolutely no interest in my food whatsoever.

But what if.

As a responsible cat, I must eliminate all risk by eating everything immediately.

This is called strategy.

Lions do this too probably.

4. I Survived Terrible Hardships This Morning

At 7:12 AM, my human moved slightly in bed and accidentally disturbed my nap.

Traumatizing.

Then:

  • the vacuum cleaner existed,
  • a crow looked at me wrong from the balcony,
  • and Kitka stole the warm spot on the chair for approximately eleven minutes.

Do you understand the suffering I endure daily?

Honestly, second breakfast is not enough. I should probably receive compensation tuna.

5. I Am Baby

This is the strongest argument.

Yes, I am an adult cat.
Yes, I pay no taxes.
Yes, I once destroyed a plant and blamed gravity.

But spiritually? Emotionally? Legally in my own mind?

Tiny baby.

Tiny babies require:

  • extra snacks,
  • forehead kisses,
  • dramatic screaming,
  • and immediate service at all times.

The rules are the rules.

Final Thoughts Before My Next Meal

Humans often ask:
“Gryzka, how many breakfasts do you actually need?”

And to that I say:
How many sunsets does the sky need?
How many stars exist in the universe?
How many times must I step on the keyboard before you learn your lesson?

Some questions simply cannot be answered.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I hear someone opening the fridge from three rooms away.

My people need me.

The Great Fly Hunt: A May Thriller

It began, as all great tragedies do…
with a sound.

Bzzzz.

I froze.

Ears forward. Eyes wide. Tail low. The air itself seemed to tremble. Somewhere in this room—my room—something had entered.

Something uninvited.

Something… airborne.

πŸͺ° The Intruder

I spotted it near the window.

Small. Fast. Insolent.

A fly.

It moved like it owned the place. Like it paid rent. Like it had not just made the greatest mistake of its short, meaningless life.

I lowered myself to the ground.

Silent.

Invisible.

Deadly.

🐾 The First Strike

Timing is everything.

I waited. Calculated. Breathed.

Bzzzz.

It landed.

I leapt.

Missed.

We do not speak of this.

πŸͺŸ The Window War

The fly took to the air again, performing chaotic aerial maneuvers clearly designed to test my patience and my athletic excellence.

It hit the window.

Again. And again.

A foolish move. There was nowhere left to go.

I approached slowly, placing each paw with surgical precision. My whiskers twitched. My pupils expanded into galaxies.

This was it.

πŸ’₯ Chaos Ensues

What followed can only be described as…
a masterpiece.

I jumped onto the windowsill. Slipped. Recovered (gracefully). Knocked over something unimportant. Perhaps a plant. Perhaps a civilization.

The fly rose again.

I pursued.

Across the table. Onto the chair. Over the human’s laptop (collateral damage). Papers flew. Objects shifted. Reality itself bent.

The human shouted something. Probably encouragement.

😼 Psychological Warfare

The fly grew tired.

I did not.

I sat. Calm. Composed. Watching.

This is what amateurs do not understand:
the hunt is not just physical.

It is mental.

I let it believe it was safe.

⚡ The Final Moment

It landed.

On the wall.

Still.

Waiting.

I crouched low. Muscles coiled. Time slowed.

This was not just a hunt.

This was destiny.

I jumped—

…Interruption

“Gryzka! Leave it!”

The human.

Always interfering at the most critical moment of my career.

The fly escaped. Of course it did. They always do when humans sabotage greatness.

🐾 Aftermath

I sat down. Licked my paw. Pretended this was all part of the plan.

The room was quiet again.

Too quiet.

Because somewhere out there…

Bzzzz.

It lives.

Final Thoughts from the Hunter

Some say it was just a fly.

They are wrong.

It was:

  • A worthy opponent
  • A test of skill
  • A story that will echo through generations

And tomorrow…

we hunt again.

Stay vigilant.

Stay sharp.

And remember:

If it buzzes… it’s personal. 🐾

EASTER DECORATIONS: PREY OR INSULT?

It began quietly.

Ania entered the house with a bag.

A dangerous bag.

Inside: pastel objects.

Yellow. Pink. Blue. Soft. Round. Smiling.

Smiling.

I gathered the household for an emergency meeting on the rug.

Kitka arrived with dignified concern.
Spurka crouched immediately (combat mode).
Lenka rolled in excited circles because she has never met a bad decision she didn’t like.

Exhibit A: The Artificial Chick πŸ₯

Small. Yellow. Fluffy. Unmoving.

I approached.

It did not blink.

Suspicious.

I poked it.

It fell over dramatically.

Lenka screamed with joy and tackled it like she had defeated a wild jungle beast.

It made no sound.

Conclusion: Either prey… or deeply offended decoration.

Exhibit B: Decorative Eggs πŸ₯š

Ania placed them in a bowl.

A bowl.

Unprotected.

They are round. They are rollable. They are destiny.

Spurka tested one with surgical precision.

It did not crack.

It did not respond.

It is either very strong prey or an insult to real eggs.

I nudged one off the table for further gravity analysis.

Ania gasped, “GRYZKA!”

Science cannot be stopped.

Exhibit C: The Pastel Bunny 🐰

This one smiles.

Why is it smiling?

It knows something.

Kitka sniffed it politely.
Lenka attempted to adopt it.
Spurka stared into its stitched eyes like they were negotiating territory.

I sat directly in front of it and stared back.

This is psychological warfare.

Human Behavior Assessment 🧺

Ania keeps saying, “It’s festive!”

Festive for whom?

There are no edible components.
There is no movement.
There is excessive pink.

She rearranged them three times after we “adjusted” the display.

Rude.

Final Verdict ⚖️

After extensive testing:

  • The chick: Acceptable training prey.

  • The eggs: Excellent for rolling operations.

  • The bunny: Under surveillance.

  • The pastel aesthetic: Emotionally confusing.

Are they prey?

Not technically.

Are they an insult?

Absolutely.

If you bring small, round, lightweight objects into a cat-governed household and expect them to remain stationary…

You misunderstand the system.

I will continue investigations daily.

For Easter.

For science.

For the HEART of this home. 🐾

APRIL CLEANING: OR HOW HUMANS DISRESPECT PERFECT FUR PLACEMENT

April has arrived. Birds are singing. The sun is shining.

And Ania has lost her mind.

This morning she stood in the middle of the living room, hands on hips, eyes glowing with dangerous optimism.

 “I’m doing spring cleaning.”

Excuse me?

Cleaning what? The house was already perfectly decorated — with fur. My fur. Carefully shed. Thoughtfully arranged. Emotionally placed. 🀍

Exhibit A: The Couch Incident πŸ›‹️

The couch had achieved peak perfection. Months of dedication. Layers. Texture. Depth.

A masterpiece.

Ania attacked it with a vacuum cleaner.

The machine roared like an offended dragon. Kitka fled under the table. Spurka flattened herself into abstract art. Lenka tried to fight it (brave but foolish).

I stood my ground.

She vacuumed my corner. MY corner.

That fur was not random. That was a memory archive. Winter shedding, January existential crisis shedding, dramatic February shedding.

All gone.

I will never emotionally recover.

Exhibit B: Furniture Relocation Without Feline Consent πŸšͺ

Ania moved the armchair.

Moved. The. Armchair.

Do you understand what that means?

That chair was positioned at a 37-degree angle to receive optimal afternoon sunlight between 14:12 and 16:03.

I calculated that.

Now? Shadow. Chaos. Misalignment.

I sat exactly where it used to be and stared at her.

She said, “It looks better this way.”

Better for whom? The plants? The wall? The dust particles?

Exhibit C: The Betrayal of the Blanket 🧺

She washed the blanket.

The blanket had history. It had scent layers. It had personality.

Now it smells like “Spring Breeze.” I did not approve Spring Breeze. I prefer “Essence of Gryzka.”

Lenka rolled on it in confusion.
Spurka sniffed it suspiciously.
Kitka sighed like a retired opera singer.

I began drafting legal documentation.

The Lawsuit ⚖️

Case Title: Gryzka vs. Ania, Crimes Against Fur Distribution
Charges include:

  • Unauthorized removal of decorative hair

  • Disturbance of Sunspot Geometry

  • Emotional distress

  • Vacuum intimidation

I presented my case by sitting on the freshly cleaned floor and shedding aggressively.

Immediate results achieved.

Final Statement 🐾

Humans call it “cleaning.”
I call it erasing history.

But I am patient.

By tomorrow morning, the couch will begin its restoration process.
The air will sparkle again with floating legacy.
The armchair will be reclaimed.

You cannot defeat fur.

You can only delay it.

Court adjourned.

SPURKA’S SHADOW STALKERS

It was a dark and stormy… okay, fine, it was a perfectly normal sunny afternoon. But to Spurka, the shadows were anything but normal. πŸ–€

She crouched low. Tail twitching like a coiled spring. Eyes wide. Pupils vertical swords of fury.

“Something is lurking,” she whispered. Not to me — I already knew. Not to Kitka — she didn’t care. Not to Lenka — she was bouncing off the curtains. No, this was a Spurka emergency.

Phase 1: The First Sighting πŸ‘€

A shadow flitted across the floor.

Spurka froze.
The shadow froze.
Lenka tried to chase her own tail. Mistake. Disaster.

Spurka moved. Slowly. Silently. Like a tiny black ninja stalking an invisible foe.

I sat nearby, supervising. It’s important to let the professionals handle their trauma… while documenting for posterity.

Phase 2: Strategic Recon πŸ•΅️‍♀️

Spurka advanced toward the living room wall. She sniffed the carpet. Whiskers quivered. Tail flicked.

Suddenly: the shadow moved again.

She leapt. Narrowly missed the coffee table. Landed on the sofa. Twisted. Spotted another shadow creeping along the floor near the curtains.

Kitka yawned, dignified as always. Lenka screamed, accidentally hitting the plant. The plant wobbled dangerously.

I sighed. Chaos. Classic Spurka chaos.

Phase 3: Tactical Maneuvers πŸ’¨

Spurka attacked. Paw swiped. Shadow vanished.

She pounced again. Shadow still nowhere.

She crouched in the corner, watching, calculating, waiting.
I could almost hear her thoughts: I will not rest until the stalkers are gone.

Lenka, fearless and unhelpful, decided it was her time to shine. She jumped into the middle of the shadows. Spurka hissed. Drama ensued.

Phase 4: Gryzka Mediation 🐾

As the wisest cat, I had to intervene.
“Spurka,” I meowed.
She glared.
“Those shadows? Harmless. But yes, you are a hero.”

I supervised while she performed a few ceremonial pounces, bat attacks, and tail flares.

Ania entered.
“What is going on in here?”
Ha. Humans. Weak. Emotionally unprepared for feline warfare.

Phase 5: Resolution πŸ†

  • Shadows: vanquished… temporarily

  • Spurka: exhausted but triumphant

  • Lenka: bouncing, still confused

  • Kitka: judging silently

  • Gryzka (me): supervising, taking notes, emotionally satisfied

Lesson learned: Never underestimate the terror of shadows in the living room. They strike without warning, they vanish without trace, and they test the HEART of Spurka daily.

For now, the living room is safe. But we remain vigilant. Shadows could strike again. πŸ–€πŸ‘€πŸΎ

Spring Is Coming. I Can Feel It. I Will Yell About It.

Something is happening.

Do not tell me it is “too early.”
Do not show me the calendar.
I know.

The Air Has Changed 🌬️🐾

The air smells different. Not warm—hopeful.

Hope is suspicious.

It seeps through the window crack and wakes me from my nap like an unfinished thought. I sniff. I frown. I sit upright for no reason.

This is how it begins.

The Birds Are Lying Again 🐦😾

Birds have returned to the balcony.

They chirp like they own the place.

I yell at them to remind them:

  • This is my territory

  • Spring does not start without my approval

  • They are early and therefore rude

They do not listen. I will yell louder.

My Body Has Entered Shed Mode πŸŒͺ️🐱

I am leaving pieces of myself everywhere.

On the sofa.
On the clothes.
In places I have never been.

This is not mess. This is renewal.

If you find fur in your tea, congratulations—it is officially spring-adjacent.

My Sisters Feel It Too 🐈‍⬛🐾🐈

Spurka sits by the window longer than usual, tail flicking like a barometer. She says nothing, but her whiskers know.

Kitka stretches more deeply, like someone remembering a season she once loved. She naps with purpose now.

Lenka has entered Full Chaos Mode. She runs. She stops. She screams at nothing. This is instinct.

I Will Yell More Now πŸ“’πŸ˜Ό

I yell because:

  • The sun is brighter

  • The mornings are louder

  • My soul is awake at 5 a.m.

This is not random screaming.
This is seasonal communication.

If you do not understand, that is your species’ problem.

Windows Must Be Opened (But Carefully) πŸͺŸ⚠️

I demand fresh air.
I demand warmth.
I demand access without consequences.

If the window is open:

  • I sit in it

  • I lean out dangerously

  • I scream at passing life

This is how spring is summoned.

Final Declaration πŸŒΈπŸ‘‘

Spring is coming.
I feel it in my paws, my whiskers, my unreasonable energy.

I will:

  • Nap less

  • Yell more

  • Stare intensely at nothing

And you will say:
“She’s acting strange.”

No.
I am responding to the earth.

How to Pretend You’re Cold Just to Steal a Lap

 Hello.
I am not cold.

But I could be.

And that’s enough.

Step 1: Activate the Winter Body Language πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜Ό

Sit very still.
Tuck paws in.
Become a loaf.

This signals: “Heat me or I perish.”

Bonus points if you sigh softly, like a cat who has seen February too many times.

Step 2: Choose the Right Human 🎯🧍‍♀️

Not all humans qualify as laps.

You want one who:

  • Is already seated

  • Has a blanket

  • Said “just five more minutes”

These humans are weak. Seasonally.

Step 3: The Strategic Shiver ✨🐱

A real shiver is unnecessary.

Simply:

  • Flick your tail once

  • Curl tighter

  • Look at the radiator longingly

The human will project cold onto you. Psychology.

Step 4: Slow Approach, No Eye Contact 🚢‍♀️🐾

Walk past the lap first. Ignore it completely.

Then stop.
Turn slowly.
Sit near—not on—the lap.

This creates tension.

Humans cannot stand unresolved narratives.

Step 5: The Half-Lap Test πŸ§ͺ

Place one paw on the lap.

Pause.

If no resistance occurs, add shoulder.
Then hip.
Then entire body.

If resistance occurs, sigh and leave dramatically. They will call you back within 4 seconds.

Step 6: The “Oh Well” Collapse 🫠

Once fully installed, relax instantly.

This reveals the truth:
You were never cold.
You were destined.

Purring is optional but recommended—it seals the contract.

Advanced Techniques 🧠πŸ”₯

  • Pretend to wake up just to reposition

  • Knead once, sharply (to assert dominance)

  • Stare at nothing while absorbing heat

Final Notes ❄️πŸ’€

Cold is temporary.
Lap is eternal.

If the human shifts, simply go limp.
They will adjust.

They always do.

Why I Knock Things Over More in February

It’s February, which means the world is cold, the sun is lazy, and my patience is on energy-saving mode.

Naturally, things must fall.

Humans call this “bad behavior.” I call it seasonal home maintenance.

Let me explain.

Reason 1: February Has Too Much Verticality

In summer, everything feels lighter. In February? Objects sit too confidently on tables, shelves, and windowsills.

This is suspicious.

Mugs. Pens. Plants. A decorative object that “means something.”
All of them are standing when they should be experiencing gravity.

I merely help.

Reason 2: The Sun Barely Shows Up, So I Create My Own Drama

There are only two moods in February:

  1. Darkness

  2. Slightly less darkness

If the sky refuses to entertain us, I must do it myself.

Knocking something over creates:

  • Sound

  • Movement

  • Human panic

This is enrichment. For everyone.

Reason 3: Spurka Encourages Me (Silently, But Clearly)

My sister Spurka is black, which means she absorbs winter darkness and turns it into judgment.

She never knocks things over herself.
She just sits nearby, watching.

Her look says:
“Do it. I want to see how they react.”

And I do. For the family.

Reason 4: Kitka Remembers a Time Before February

Kitka is older. Wiser. Calico.
She has seen many Februaries and trusts none of them.

When something falls, Kitka doesn’t flinch.
She nods slightly, like:
“Yes. This month again.”

Sometimes she knocks something over very gently, as if apologizing to the object. A ceremonial push. A farewell.

I respect that.

Reason 5: Lenka Is New and Needs Education

Lenka is still learning how the world works.

When I knock something over, she:

  • Jumps

  • Looks offended

  • Then looks impressed

This is mentorship.

February is the best time to teach life lessons such as:

  • Nothing is stable

  • Gravity is inevitable

  • Humans make excellent startled noises

You’re welcome, Lenka.

Reason 6: Humans React More Dramatically in February

In summer, a falling object is “oops.”

In February, it is:

  • “WHAT WAS THAT?!”

  • “Why now?”

  • “I just cleaned.”

Exactly.

Humans are emotionally thinner in February. Their nerves are exposed. A single falling pen can cause an existential crisis.

I would be cruel not to test this.

Reason 7: Objects Want to Be Free

You think that vase enjoys living on a shelf?

No.
It dreams of the floor.

I am not destructive. I am a liberator.

This Is Not Chaos. This Is Seasonal Adjustment.

I knock things over more in February because:

  • The world is heavy

  • The sun is absent

  • My sisters agree in spirit

  • And gravity needs supervision

Spring will come. I will calm down. Probably.

Until then, if something falls, know this:
It was necessary.
