Kitka Has Started Molting. Again. Nobody Asked.

I have an announcement.

A serious announcement.

A hairy announcement.

 Kitka is molting again.

😐

Nobody asked.

Nobody requested it.

There was no meeting.

No consultation with the household.

No vote.

Kitka simply woke up one morning and apparently decided:

“I shall now leave pieces of myself everywhere.”

And she has.

Oh, she has.

🐾 The First Sign

It always starts innocently.

One tiny hair.

On the blanket.

Then another.

On the sofa.

Then three on the chair.

Then suddenly...

THE HOUSE IS KITKA.

😳

You sit down.

Kitka is not there.

But Kitka is still there.

Her hair is on the cushion.

Her hair is on your shirt.

Her hair is on the floor.

Her hair is somehow inside your coffee.

I don't understand the physics.

Nobody understands the physics.

Scientists should investigate.

πŸ›‹️ The Sofa Has Been Reclassified

Yesterday, the human cleaned the sofa.

I watched.

She vacuumed.

She brushed the cushions.

She removed everything.

She stood back proudly.

“Lovely and clean!”

I waited.

Kitka walked past.

She sat down.

She stood up.

She walked away.

That was it.

The sofa was covered again.

😹

Human civilization collapsed in approximately eleven seconds.

🧹 Humans Have a Strange Relationship With Cat Hair

Humans complain about cat hair.

Constantly.

“It’s everywhere!”

“Yes.”

“Why is there so much?”

“Because there is a cat.”

“But I just cleaned!”

“Yes.”

“I can't believe this!”

I can.

I have been watching Kitka.

She is basically a walking hair-production facility.

🐱🏭

But humans continue to be surprised.

Every single year.

πŸ§₯ The Clothes Situation

Humans especially dislike cat hair on black clothing.

This is unfortunate.

Because black clothing is basically a giant advertising billboard for cat hair.

Wear black?

Congratulations!

You now have Kitka-patterned clothing.

πŸΎπŸ–€πŸΎπŸ–€πŸΎ

The human gets dressed.

She looks in the mirror.

Everything seems fine.

Then she notices three hairs.

She removes them.

Then seven more appear.

She removes those.

Then she discovers approximately forty-seven more on the back.

At this point, I recommend accepting the situation.

You are wearing Kitka.

This is not a problem.

This is fashion.

🧺 The Laundry Betrayal

The human has also developed an unfortunate habit.

She folds clean laundry.

Then she leaves it unattended.

This is where Kitka and I become involved.

Because freshly folded laundry is obviously a cat bed.

This is not controversial.

This is cat law.

🐈‍⬛🧺

The human returns.

She finds a cat sitting on the clothes.

She says:

“Kitka!”

Kitka looks at her.

Kitka does not move.

The human sighs.

Kitka closes her eyes.

Victory.

πŸ›️ The Bed Has Been Compromised

The bed is worse.

Kitka sleeps there.

I sleep there.

Sometimes Lenka sleeps there.

Sometimes Spurka appears.

There is now so much fur in the bedding that I'm beginning to wonder whether we are still sleeping under blankets...

...or inside one enormous communal cat.

😳

The human washes the sheets.

Fresh sheets.

Clean sheets.

Beautiful sheets.

Kitka lies down.

I lie down.

Lenka appears.

Spurka arrives five minutes later.

By bedtime, the sheets are no longer fresh.

They are seasoned.

πŸ‚ Autumn Has Arrived

Humans think autumn means:

🍁 colorful leaves
☕ warm drinks
🧣 sweaters
πŸŽƒ pumpkins
πŸ•―️ candles

No.

Autumn means:

CAT HAIR.

Everywhere.

The leaves outside fall from trees.

The fur inside falls from cats.

Nature is simply maintaining balance.

πŸ‚πŸΎ

You see a pile of Kitka's fur on the floor?

Don't vacuum it immediately.

Admire it.

It is autumn decoration.

🎨 Interior Design by Kitka

I have developed a new design philosophy.

It is called:

Feline Texture.

The principles are simple.

A sofa should contain fur.

A blanket should contain fur.

A carpet should contain fur.

Clothing should contain fur.

Visitors should leave with fur.

This creates continuity throughout the home.

Everything matches.

Everything feels connected.

And most importantly...

Everything smells faintly of cat.

✨

Luxury interior designers charge thousands for less.

🧹 The Vacuum Cleaner Has Declared War

The human, however, disagrees.

She has brought out the vacuum cleaner.

Again.

I hate the vacuum cleaner.

Kitka hates the vacuum cleaner.

Spurka disappears when she hears it.

Lenka thinks it is an exciting new toy because she has no survival instincts.

The vacuum begins.

VRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Everyone runs.

Except Kitka.

Kitka sits there.

She stares at it.

She refuses to move.

She is brave.

Or stupid.

Possibly both.

The vacuum approaches.

Kitka finally jumps onto the sofa.

The human catches some hair.

She smiles.

“I finally got it!”

No.

You got some of it.

Kitka has approximately another 900 kilograms stored somewhere.

🐱 I Have an Important Question

Why do humans think shedding is bad?

Birds lose feathers.

Trees lose leaves.

Snakes shed skin.

Humans lose socks.

Nobody complains about that.

But a cat leaves twelve hairs on a blanket and suddenly:

“WE NEED TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE.”

πŸ™„

Perhaps humans should shed too.

Then maybe they would understand.

πŸ§ͺ Gryzka's Scientific Explanation

I have conducted extensive research.

My findings are as follows:

Kitka sits down → hair appears.

Kitka walks → hair appears.

Kitka sleeps → hair appears.

Kitka looks at a blanket → hair appears.

Kitka exists → hair appears.

Therefore:

Kitka is not shedding.

Kitka is distributing.

This is an important distinction.

She is not losing fur.

She is generously donating it to the household.

🐾🎁

You're welcome.

πŸ’‘ My Advice to Humans

Instead of fighting the fur, embrace it.

Turn it into a lifestyle.

Call it:

✨ Organic upholstery
✨ Seasonal textile enhancement
✨ Natural insulation
✨ Feline interior decoration
✨ Premium cat-derived carpeting

And when visitors arrive and notice fur on their clothes?

Simply say:

“That's Kitka. She's very exclusive.”

😌

🐾 Final Report

Kitka has now moved from the sofa to the bed.

The bed is covered.

The sofa is covered.

The blanket is covered.

My favorite chair is covered.

The human's black trousers are covered.

There is fur floating through the sunlight like tiny snowflakes.

πŸ‚πŸ±✨

And honestly?

It looks beautiful.

Kitka has created an entire autumn atmosphere without buying a single decoration.

Meanwhile, the human is holding the vacuum cleaner and looking emotionally exhausted.

I have offered my professional advice.

She should sit down.

Preferably somewhere with fur.

And relax.

Because tomorrow...

Kitka will do it all again.

Gryzka 🐾🐯

Why Humans Suddenly Want to “Get Organized”

Something strange happens every September.

I have noticed it for years.

August ends.

The weather becomes slightly less sweaty.

The days become slightly shorter.

And suddenly...

Humans lose their minds. 😐

They start buying notebooks.

Folders.

Pens.

Storage boxes.

Calendars.

Planners.

Labels.

Little containers for other little containers.

And then they announce proudly:

“This year, I’m going to get organized!”

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Oh, humans.

You are adorable.

You actually believe this is going to work.

πŸ““ The September Notebook Ritual

It always starts with a notebook.

Not one notebook.

Several notebooks.

A human walks into a shop and sees a beautiful notebook with flowers on the cover.

“Oh!” she says.

“I could use this for planning.”

Then she sees another one.

“This could be for ideas.”

Then another.

“This one could be for my goals.”

Then another.

“This one is so pretty!”

Suddenly she owns seven notebooks.

I have inspected them.

They are all empty.

Completely.

Magnificently.

Empty.

✨πŸ““✨

Meanwhile, I have one cardboard box.

It contains everything I need.

I sleep in it.

I sit in it.

I scratch it.

I hide behind it.

I occasionally eat things near it.

That is what I call multifunctional organization.

πŸ—‚️ The Folder Situation

Then come the folders.

Humans apparently believe that putting something inside a folder means they have organized it.

They take a pile of papers from the table.

They put the papers into a folder.

They feel accomplished.

“I finally sorted those!”

No.

You moved them.

There is a difference.

🐾

I have watched humans do this for years.

They have a folder called:

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

Inside it are:

  • an old receipt,
  • a dentist appointment card from 2019,
  • two birthday cards,
  • a takeaway menu,
  • a warranty for something they no longer own,
  • three mysterious pieces of paper,
  • and one photograph of me.

Naturally, the photograph is the most important document.

I approve. 😌

🧺 Storage Boxes: Humanity's Favorite Lie

Then humans discover storage boxes.

This is where things become serious.

They buy a box.

Then another.

Then another.

Then they put things into the boxes.

Then they label the boxes.

Then they stack the boxes.

Then they forget what's inside them.

Six months later:

“Where did I put that?”

I know where.

In the box.

Which box?

The box.

You know.

The box you organized.

The one labeled:

MISCELLANEOUS.

πŸ˜‚

There are now fourteen boxes labeled miscellaneous.

Humans have created a new species of storage:

The Mystery Box.

No one knows what's inside.

Not even the person who packed it.

🏷️ And Then Come the Labels

Humans LOVE labels.

They label everything.

Kitchen.

Bathroom.

Office.

Documents.

Cables.

Craft supplies.

Spices.

Cleaning products.

Sometimes I suspect humans would label me if I stood still long enough.

CAT

Thank you.

I had not noticed.

🐈

But labels have one major weakness.

They assume humans will put things back where they belong.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

That is an adorable theory.

✨ The Great September Planner

The most impressive part is the planner.

Every September, humans buy a fresh planner.

It is beautiful.

Clean.

Perfect.

Untouched.

The pages are full of possibilities.

Week 1:

Monday — Work
Tuesday — Work
Wednesday — Pilates
Thursday — Important Task
Friday — Finish Project

Everything looks wonderful.

Everything looks under control.

Then comes October.

The planner contains:

  • “URGENT!!!”
  • “CALL SOMEONE”
  • “DON'T FORGET”
  • a coffee stain,
  • a shopping list,
  • three crossed-out appointments,
  • and the word WHY?

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

By November, the planner has become a coaster.

By December, it is holding a collection of receipts.

By January, humans buy another planner.

And the cycle begins again.

🐱 Meanwhile, Cats Have a Superior System

We cats don't need planners.

We don't need folders.

We don't need storage boxes.

We have a highly sophisticated organizational system.

It consists of:

1. Food time.

I know exactly when it is.

2. Nap time.

Basically whenever I want.

3. Inspection time.

Whenever something suspicious happens.

4. Snack time.

Whenever a human enters the kitchen.

5. Emergency zoomies.

Usually at 3:17 a.m.

6. Strategic sitting.

On whatever object the human currently needs.

Laptop?

Mine.

Notebook?

Mine.

Important document?

Absolutely mine.

Newly folded laundry?

Especially mine.

🐾

🧹 And Then Humans Make the Biggest Mistake...

They start cleaning.

This is where I become concerned.

A human suddenly gets energetic.

She picks things up.

She moves furniture.

She sorts drawers.

She cleans shelves.

She removes things from my preferred sleeping location.

She says:

“I'm decluttering.”

I say:

“You're destroying my infrastructure.”

😾

Then she throws away a perfectly good cardboard box.

A box!

A magnificent box!

A box that I had personally approved for sleeping.

Humans are incapable of understanding the importance of real estate.

πŸ“¦ The Box Incident

Last September, a human bought six expensive storage containers.

Six.

She proudly assembled them.

She organized everything.

She stood back and admired her work.

Everything looked beautiful.

Everything was neat.

Everything was labeled.

Then she left the room.

I entered.

I saw the containers.

I examined them.

I thought carefully.

And then I found the empty cardboard box they had arrived in.

Obviously, I chose the cardboard box.

πŸ“¦❤️🐈

The expensive storage system was ignored.

The cardboard box became my bedroom.

This is called quality control.

🧠 Gryzka's Theory

After years of observation, I have reached a scientific conclusion.

Humans do not actually want to be organized.

They want to feel like they are about to become organized.

There is a difference.

They enjoy:

✨ buying planners
✨ choosing pretty notebooks
✨ arranging pens
✨ labeling boxes
✨ making lists
✨ watching organizational videos
✨ saying “I'm going to start fresh”

The actual organizing?

Not nearly as exciting.

Cats understand this perfectly.

We don't pretend.

If something is messy, we sleep on it.

Problem solved.

😌

πŸ‚ My September Organization Advice

If humans truly want to become organized, I recommend the following system.

Step 1: Buy one notebook.

Not twelve.

One.

Step 2: Write down what actually needs doing.

Step 3: Do one thing.

Step 4: Take a break.

Step 5: Feed the cat.

Step 6: Take another break.

Step 7: Admire your achievement.

Step 8: Completely ignore the remaining 47 tasks.

This system has been successfully tested by cats for centuries.

🐾 Final Thoughts from Gryzka

September is the month when humans convince themselves that everything can be fixed with stationery.

They buy planners.

They buy boxes.

They buy folders.

They buy labels.

They buy pens in seventeen shades of beige.

Then they spend three hours organizing their desk instead of doing the thing they were supposed to do.

And honestly?

I support it.

Because while they are busy organizing...

I can sit in the middle of the desk.

🐈

On the planner.

🐾

Next to the pens.

😼

And occasionally knock something onto the floor.

Because someone has to make sure the system doesn't become too organized.

You're welcome.

Love,

Gryzka 🐯🐾
